The Department of Health & Social Care has today unveiled their ‘Coronavirus Action Plan’ to help combat COVID-19 from spreading across the UK.

The Action Plan is broken down into a 4-phase plan that aims to:
1) Contain
2) Delay
3) Research
4) Mitigate
It would seem that each phase is separate & dependent on how the virus spreads, with the first phase being to ‘contain’ the spread of coronavirus throughout the UK. As of the 3rd March 2020, the current amount of UK cases where people have tested positive stands at 51 but is expected to rise in the coming days & weeks.
So with that in mind, the ‘Department of Health & Social Care’ has provided the following simple advice that we can all follow, whether it’s at home or in the workplace:
– Follow public health advice
– Hand washing
– Reduce the impact & spread of misinformation
– Check & follow the latest travel advice
– Ensure vaccinations are up to date
– Check on elderly, vulnerable family, friends & neighbours
– Use the NHS, GPs & pharmacies responsibly
– Understand the pressures the health & social care systems are under
– Self isolate & use over the counter medicines (in the majority of cases)
– Continue to check for the latest, up to date news
