The Trader Support Service (TSS) will continue to support traders who are moving goods to Northern Ireland from GB.

Th UK Trader Scheme (UKTS) is being replaced on 30th September 2023 by the UK Internal Market Scheme (UKIMS). If your business, moves or plans to move goods into Northern Ireland, and declare these goods ‘not at risk’, you must apply for authorisation via UKIMS. Traders who currently operate under UKTS must re-apply to UKIMS to continue declaring goods ‘not at risk’.

Businesses must ensure their UKIMS authorisation letter is added to their TSS company profile, under ‘Document Records’ to validate their authorisation.

The Scheme for the Temporary Agrifood Movements to Northern Ireland (STAMNI) is being replaced in October 2023 by the Northern Ireland Retail Movement Scheme (NIRMS). If you sell or facilitate the movement of food for final consumption in Northern Ireland, you will be able to register for NIRIMS.

If you send prepacked retail goods, or certain loose goods, for final use in Nortern Ireland, new labelling requirements are being introduced in phases from October 2023 to July 2025.
