What is GVMS?
GVMS stands for the ‘Goods Vehicle Movement Service’.
From the 1st January 2021, goods moving into and out of the UK will be subject to new customs controls because the UK has left the EU Customs Union.
It is now possible to register for the GVMS, which the UK Government is encouraging hauliers to do so if you move goods in & out of the UK.
You can register here:
HMRC have also released two videos on YouTube about GVMS which provides information on GVMS and how the service will work.
